VICTORIA & MARTY | THE GROUNDS OF ALEXANDRIA WEDDING
As a wedding photographer working in Sydney for many years I have been to nearly every wedding location and reception there is, but never shoot at the The Grounds of Alexandria wedding.
Ever since I went there for lunch a while ago I was hoping to shoot a wedding there it is such a great place “country in the city”
Two weeks ago Victoria & Marty held their wedding ceremony and reception at the The Grounds of Alexandria and I was the lucky wedding photographer. Here is a bit about their party.
I arrived at the The Grounds of Alexandria just on sunset as Victoria & Marty was having an evening ceremony and reception.
The Grounds of Alexandria has a real country feel to it, with animals and gardens. As you might remember the adorable Kevin Bacon the pig was stolen from The Grounds of Alexandria in October 2013 -luckily he was returned a few weeks later.
Marty was ready to go when I arrived. He was very nervous waiting for the big moment.
When Victoria arrived it was nearly dark, I just got in a few photos with some dark blue sky’s – it looked great as the The Grounds of Alexandria was mostly light with candles.
The ceremony was beautifully held by Lilian Lyon – Marty got a big surprise when Victoria with help of guest sang him a song.
As Victoria & Marty had planed the rest of the night was one big party with a few speeches and a cheese wheel cutting.
I did a few ” wedding location” photos during the night. There are so many great spots around and great lighting opportunity’s.
It was great shooting with my new Nikon D4s, it has wonderful high ISO capability for night wedding photos and night wedding photography
Congratulation Victoria & Marty and thanks for choosing me to shoot your wedding – it was a great privilege.
