KOMAL & SHAHRIR – HALDI CEREMONY

Being a wedding photographer is on of the best job there is. You get to share with people their wedding one of their most important times, and how different cultures celebrate this. Komal & Shahrir held their beautiful Haldi ceremony at West Pennant Hills Valley Community Centre, and I was so privilege to be there documenting the celebration
The Haldi ceremony is an ancient indian pre wedding custom involving many features. Family and guests apply “Haldi” a past of mostly turmeric on bride and groom face hands and feet. During the ceremony a Kangana – a read tread with symbols on is tied to the right wrist to the bride and groom. Lost of fantastic Indian music and off course dancing. So much colour and so much fun.
Looking forward to the wedding.
