ASHLEY & MATT – BEACHSIDE DOJO WEDDING

Ash and Matt’s Beachside Dojo wedding was intimate and very emotional with close family and friends. They held both the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception at the Beachside Dojo in Manly.

Started the day with a short getting ready shoot with both Matt and Ash. They both got ready for the wedding at Novotel Manly Pacific in different rooms. The Novotel was a great place to get ready as it is right next door to Beachside Dojo, literally one min walk. Matt was jut about to put his tie on when I arrived – perfect timing, and he looked super smart 🙂 in his suit from Montagio. Ash had her mum and a close friend helping her getting ready. Got some lovely photos of Ash and her mum, always such a special time – just before the wedding ceremony.
At Beachside Dojo everything looked so nice, thanks to the wonderfull girls at Little Lane Events. The wedding was held on the Beachside Dojo Terrace with Manly Beach and pine trees in the background. It was a beautiful and very emotional ceremony held by the celebrant Stephen Lee. Ash and Matt had written their own vows and I don’s think there was many dry eyes among the guest and family.
We did a few family photo and a big group photo before heading of for some more intimate phots of the newly wed 🙂 We had decided on Freshwater beach instead of Manly beach as our location, as there would be less people around, and I love shooting at this gorgeous beach. We were shooting just after midday which is not always the best when it comes to light. At Freshwater beach I knew that we would find some shade along the rock wall. It turned out beautifully as we got some cloud cover as well as full sun.
The wedding reception/lunch was also held at the Sunrise space at Beachside Dojo at Manly Beach. The food was so good, I sampled quite a few of the dishes 🙂 and it was such a lovely space to be in.
