SECLUSIONS WEDDING – HEATHER AND CHARLES

It was the first time for shooting a Seclusions Wedding. Seclusions Blue Mountains is just a short drive from Lithgow, and is situated on a beautiful property with amazing views. I just fell in love with this beautiful place. If you are after a bush wedding, you should check this place out

A year and a half ago I photographed Charles’ brother Edward and his lovely wife Kari’s wedding at Dunbar House and I was really looking forward to catching up with this lovely family.

Arrived at Seclusions one hour early to scout out some spots for the ” Locations Shoot” later on. It was lots of activity. Penny Lane Studios was setting up for the Seclusions wedding ceremony  and the Fun Fair entertainment for the guest for after the wedding ceremony. Also Neat Floral was setting up all the stunning flower arrangement.

I found Heather and the girls in the “Bakery” at Seclusions.  The makeup and hair artist was Paul Bedggood, and the girls looked just amazing.

Charles and the boys were getting ready for the wedding at a hidden away in the bush cabin called Kookawood. Kookawood was only 5 min drive from Seclusions. I was sure I was lost as there was hardly a road at all, but what an amazing cottage Kookawood is.  As you step inside you are transported 100 years back in time. Heavy wood beams, big fire place and deep leather sofas. It also had a amazing view over the Blue Mountains.

The wedding ceremony took place at a purpose cool wooden circle with a stunning view. What a place to tie the knot.
The wedding celebrant was the lovely Dee Weisner, and she held an gorgeous ceremony.

After the ceremony we did a big group and family photo, before everyone started enjoying the Fun Fair. My favorite was the Kissing Booth and at just $50 cents per kiss, it was a bargain 🙂

The booth throwing was also a lot of fun. Got a great shoot of the bride in full booth throw.

For the Seclusions Wedding Location Photos we used the ground of Seclusion and a nearby property. I had such a fantastic time shooting, so many beautiful spots and for the first time for a few weeks we had a sun set.

The wedding reception was held in the barn. The last photo was taken at 11:00 pm. I drove just a minute to the top of the hill, tucked myself into the sleeping bag and slept under the stars – nothing is better.

Thanks Heather and Charles for a memorable and gorgeous wedding day at the Seclusions Wedding venue in Blue Mountains.
